Government Medical College and Hospital, Chapra, ( GMC Chapra ) Saran, Bihar is a newly established college spreading over 20 Acre campus. It was inaugurated by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on 8th Jan. 2025. The land for the construction of the medical college has been given by Jai Prakash University. The college will soon offer the course for Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). The college will also offer a BSc Nursing course, which will have a total of 60 seats (proposed) . The hospital also has a rest house facility for the attendants of patients. The OPD & IPD services has already been started. This college is affiliated with BUHS.
