AKU has officially issued a revised schedule for the 3rd Professional Part-II MBBS Examination 2026 for students affiliated with Patna Medical College, Patna, Nalanda Medical College, Patna, and Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri, Nalanda. The revised notification, dated May 2, 2026, was released under notification number 005/Exam./020/AKU/2025-C-1214.

According to the revised notice, the examinations originally scheduled from April 30, 2026, have been rescheduled for multiple subjects, affecting both new and old course students. The revision was made based on recommendations submitted by the examination center superintendent, with AKU making the necessary adjustments to ensure smooth conduct of examinations.

For students under the current course structure, the revised schedule includes:

For old course students, similar revisions have been made across Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Paediatrics papers.

The university has further informed all affiliated colleges that updated admit cards will be distributed through the respective institutions by May 18, 2026, and students must obtain their revised admit cards before appearing in the examination.

This schedule revision is significant for hundreds of MBBS students preparing for one of the most crucial examinations of their medical careers. The revised timeline provides additional preparation time, but also requires students to realign their study plans according to the new dates.

AKU’s decision reflects administrative responsiveness in maintaining examination order while ensuring that institutional recommendations are accommodated. Students are advised to remain in close contact with their colleges for official updates regarding admit cards and any further notifications.

The revised examination schedule has become an important update for Bihar’s medical academic community, especially for final-stage undergraduate students whose academic progression depends heavily on the timely completion of these examinations.
