7th SVSSY: A Historic Milestone
The 7th Swami Vivekananda Swasthya Sewa Yatra was held on 12th January 2025, marking a significant achievement in the history of this initiative. Key highlights of this edition include:
- Scale: Organized at over 600 locations across Bihar, making it one of the largest health camps in the country.
- Participation: More than 2,000 doctors, medical students, and volunteers contributed to the success of the event.

- Leadership: The event was led by Dr. Ankit, Secretary of NMO Bihar, and Dr. Santosh Singh, Sangathan Sachiv under the guidance of Dr. R. K. Jha (President NMO Bihar), Dr. Vijayendra Kumar, Dr. Rajeev, Dr. Ashwini Kumar who coordinated efforts to ensure seamless execution.




This edition of SVSSY demonstrated the power of collective effort and reinforced the commitment to improving healthcare access for all and a result of micro planning, micromanagement and execution of NMO Bihar karyakartas (workers).
Medical Students :
Medical students and interns serve as the backbone of SVSSY, taking on critical roles such as IT management, camp coordination, and supporting senior doctors. Notable contributors include Dr. Ankit, Dr. Santosh Singh, Dr. Priyam Sharma, Dr. Ritu Priya, Dr. Prashant Jha, Dr. Vishwa Prakash, Dr. Krishnamani, Dr. Shikha, Dr. Ankesh Prabhakar, Dr. Suraj Prakash, Dr. Aman Singh, Dr. Krishnamurari and others.
Crucial Role of 23 and 24 Batches :
A unique challenge faced during the 7th SVSSY was the unavailability of students from the 21 and 22 batches, who were occupied with their university exams. Rising to the occasion, the 23 and 24 batches played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the event. Amrit Raj (23, RDJM), Anjali Singh (23, NMCH), Isha Chauhan (23,JLNMCH), Piyush Pallav (23,NSMCH) are few of those who made SVSSY successful. From managing logistics and coordinating camps to assisting senior doctors and handling patient care, their enthusiasm and dedication were instrumental in executing the event seamlessly. Their efforts not only upheld the mission of SVSSY but also showcased the immense potential of the next generation of healthcare professionals.




How SVSSY Works :
SVSSY operates on a large scale, thanks to meticulous planning and coordination among various stakeholders. Here is how it functions:
- Identification of Locations: Key areas, including remote and underserved regions, are identified for organizing health camps.
