NEET PG 2024

New Delhi, July 5, 2024

NEET PG 2024 : The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced on Friday the rescheduled date for the NEET PG 2024 examination, now set to take place on August 11. Initially slated for June 23, the exam was postponed on the night of June 22 due to undisclosed concerns raised by the authorities.

The rescheduled NEET PG 2024 will feature a newly introduced ‘two shift’ method. This innovative approach aims to streamline the examination process, reduce travel burdens on candidates, and maintain the integrity of the examination.

Details of the NEET PG 2024 ‘Two Shift’ Method:
  1. Exam Shifts: The NEET PG 2024 will be conducted in two shifts at different times on the same day. ( For Example, Lets say that the first shift will commence at 9 AM and conclude at 12 PM, while the second shift will start after a brief interval and also run for three hours. Both shifts will be held at the same examination centers.)
  2. Question Papers: To ensure fairness, two distinct sets of questions will be prepared for the different shifts. The NBEMS has assured that the standard and difficulty level of the questions will be consistent across both shifts, facilitating an equitable merit list.
  3. Marking & Merit List: A normalization process will be employed to compile the merit list. This method will adjust scores to account for any variations in difficulty between the two sets of questions, ensuring a fair and balanced ranking of all candidates.

The decision to conduct the exam in two shifts is also expected to reduce the number of examination centers required. This change addresses concerns about candidates having to travel long distances to reach their exam centers. By reducing the number of centers, the NBEMS aims to make it easier for students to reach their designated locations without undue hardship.

Despite these changes, the NBEMS has emphasized that the sanctity and security of the examination process will be strictly upheld. Measures will be in place to ensure that the integrity of the NEET PG 2024 examination remains uncompromised.

Candidates are advised to stay updated with official announcements from NBEMS, which you can get through our website and to prepare for the upcoming examination in August. The board’s proactive approach in addressing logistical challenges and ensuring fairness reflects its commitment to providing a smooth and transparent examination process for all aspiring medical professionals.
