NEET PG 2024 Date :
Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the revised dates for the NEET PG 2024 will likely be released by Monday or Tuesday. This update provides a ray of hope for the thousands of medical graduates eagerly awaiting the exam schedule of NEET PG 2024.
New Leadership and Reforms at NTA
Addressing a press conference, Pradhan highlighted significant changes within the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting various national exams, including NEET-UG. The Minister confirmed that the NTA has been placed under new leadership following recent controversies and allegations of irregularities in exam conduct.
“We have initiated reforms under the leadership of former ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan,” Pradhan stated. “We have also formed a new law to address the issues, and the entire case has been handed over to the CBI for thorough investigation.”
Announcement of NEET PG 2024 Dates
The announcement of NEET PG 2024 dates has been eagerly anticipated by medical graduates across the country. “New dates for NEET PG 2024 will be announced by Monday or Tuesday,” Pradhan assured. This timeline is expected to give candidates sufficient notice to prepare for the rescheduled exam.
Political Accusations and Response
During the press conference, Pradhan also addressed political accusations, particularly from the Congress party. He accused Congress of obstructing discussions and not wanting to address students’ issues, suggesting they prefer to keep the matter contentious.
“On behalf of the government, I clearly said that we are ready for any kind of discussion, but Congress does not want to address the students’ issue; they want the matter to remain burning,” Pradhan remarked. He also noted that similar issues had arisen before 2014 but emphasized that such historical problems do not justify the current situation.
UGC NET Exam Updates
Pradhan’s announcement comes shortly after the NTA revealed new dates for the UGC NET 2024, which had been previously canceled and postponed. The UGC NET exam will now be held in multiple shifts between August 21 and September 4, following the same pattern used before the June edition.
The NTA also announced that the UGC NET re-examination will be conducted in a computer-based mode, a shift from the pen-and-paper format used in the last edition. The June 18 exam saw 9,08,580 candidates write the examination using OMR sheets.
Implications for NEET-PG Candidates
For NEET-PG candidates, the forthcoming announcement of the new exam dates marks a critical update. The extended timeline will allow candidates to continue their preparations with a clearer schedule in mind. Medical graduates are encouraged to stay updated with official announcements from the Ministry of Education.
Government’s Commitment to Fair Examinations
The Education Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring fair and transparent examination processes. The involvement of a high-level committee and the transfer of investigation responsibilities to the CBI reflect the seriousness with which the government is addressing the alleged irregularities.
“We need timely action from the authorities to restore confidence in our examination system,” Pradhan emphasized.
As the medical community and aspiring postgraduates prepare for the NEET-PG exam, the focus remains on ensuring a fair and transparent process that upholds the integrity of India’s medical education system.
