NExT easier then NEET PG ?

Lots of quick developments has taken place over the last few days on the implementation of Nation Exit Test. On 27th June 2023, the Chairman of National Medical Commission ( NMC ) conducted a webinar to address the queries and confusion on NExT but there were few more doubts that were yet to be answered.

Later on the government released a gazette on National Exit Test Regulations 2023 for the NExT exam. This includes guidelines on exam pattern, process of examination, schedule, marking scheme and eligibility. After its release, many MBBS students and doctors opposed and demanded its withdrawal.

The Social Media was also flooded with the images of protest to cancel the NExT for 2019 batch. On July 6th, the Education minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya while addressing the students of AIIMS Raipur confirmed that there will be no NExT for 2019 batch.

Recently, on July 26, Dr Mandaviya was addressing the students of AIIMS Raibareli, said that NExT will not be like NEET PG which requires min 50% to qualify the exam, making it easier for the students to qualify it and the NMC will decrease the qualifying criteria for it.

Any official confirmation is still awaited from NMC over this and it is suggested to keep checking our Notice section for final confirmation.
