What is NExT ?

The National Exit Test (NEXT) is now national medical postgraduate exam that is mandatory for the MBBS students to pass in order to get a “Dr” tag with their name.
The exam was introduced by the central government of India in the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill 2019. The NEXT exam will act as a replacement for the FMGE Exam as well as the NEET-PG Exam.
According to the Ministry of health, the main objective of the NEXT Exam is to improve the medical health system of the country and produce more talented doctors. Only those candidates passing the NEXT Exam will be eligible for a medical degree in India, even the medical graduates from other countries have to clear this exam in order to be eligible to work in India and those students having good scores in the can get admission in PG in India.
