In a shocking case of medical malpractice that has shaken public trust, a major healthcare fraud has come to light in Evers Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna. At least six women allegedly had their uteruses removed without consent under the false pretext of undergoing hernia or piles surgeries at Evers Hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims, aged between 30 and 38, initially sought treatment for minor surgical conditions. However, after returning home, they experienced an alarming cessation of menstruation. Subsequent medical examinations revealed a horrifying truth\u2014their uteruses had been removed without their knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the Scam Unfolded<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The issue surfaced when complainant and RTI activist Tribhuvan Prasad Yadav<\/strong> reported that his sister, Anita Devi, was admitted to the hospital on October 10, 2025, for a hernia operation. Instead, her uterus was surgically removed without consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further investigation revealed a pattern. Other victims, including Poonam Devi, Sunita Devi, and Mamta Devi, were misled into believing they were undergoing procedures for piles or minor conditions. In each case, their uteruses were removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fake Reports and Fraudulent Practices<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The investigation exposed that the Evers Hospital allegedly used falsified ultrasound reports to justify these surgeries. Radiologists Dr. Rupesh Kumar Srivastava and Dr. Alpana Pathak<\/strong> confirmed that earlier diagnostic reports showed normal uterine conditions. Raman Imaging also dismissed the hospital\u2019s reports as fraudulent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shockingly, records indicated that on the same date a diagnostic report was issued, the patient was admitted elsewhere, raising serious questions about document fabrication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even Declared Alive Patient as Dead<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In a bizarre and disturbing twist, Anita Devi was reportedly declared dead by the hospital in front of the investigation team. However, she later appeared in person, proving she was alive\u2014further exposing the hospital\u2019s attempt to manipulate facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayushman Bharat Scheme Misused<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Preliminary findings suggest that the motive behind these illegal surgeries was to fraudulently claim funds under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. By performing high-value procedures like hysterectomy, the hospital allegedly exploited the scheme for financial gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrative Action Taken<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Civil Surgeon Dr. Yogendra Prasad Mandal confirmed that, following the investigation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
