About<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) was founded by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar<\/strong>, the Founder and Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Inspired by the biographical movie about India\u2019s first female doctor, Anandibai Joshi, Dr. Mujumdar envisioned a medical college exclusively for women. This initiative aims to empower women and contribute to nation-building by increasing the number of female doctors. The college operates under the Faculty of Health Sciences at Symbiosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The SMCW is located on the scenic campus of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) at Lavale, Pune. The college has an annual intake of 150 students.
