Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) is in Darbhanga district of Bihar. Established in the year 1946. It is affiliated to BUHS<\/a>, Patna<\/strong>. DMCH was initially started as a private institution. Later, it was taken over by the Government of Bihar and became a government-run medical college. It is one of the pioneer health care hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The medical college was constructed with the efforts of King Rameshwar Singh<\/strong> of Khandavala Dynasty who also built the beautiful Raj Nagar Palace in Madhubani.<\/strong> Initially, the medical college was located, inside today\u2019s police hospital situated near Lohia Chowk of the city. Before a start, the king had to deposit an amount of Rs 25,000<\/strong> to the British<\/strong> to shift the medical college. After the king, his son Kameshwar Singh upgraded and renamed the \u2018Temple of Medical Learning\u2019<\/strong> to Darbhanga Medical College in 1946<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
