About

Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Patna (NMCH Patna) is a government medical college situated in Kankarbagh with joint hospital at Agamkuan. It is a public funded college established in 1970 as a private college by Dr. Vijay Narayain Singh, Dr. Madhusudan Das and Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha, along with Shri Krishna Kant Singh, the ex-education minister of Bihar. The college is having 2 campuses spread over 100 acres, campus at Kankarbagh constitute of administrative building, UG hostels (for boys and girls), a college library, lecture theatre and buildings for non-clinical and para-clinical subjects and doctors’ quarters while campus at Agamkuan constitute of hospital buildings, a centre of excellence, vaccine house, and hostel for interns, PGs, and nursing students. NMCH is affiliated to AKU and and recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI is now replaced by NMC). It offer MBBS as well as various PG courses like medicine, surgery, gynaecology, anaesthesiology etc.
