Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences: MBBS Students foresee dark future

The future of MBBS students of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences is in dark. The first batch of MBBS passed out this year, but these students are not able to apply for jobs. Not only this, the institute is also not able to keep their own students on the post of Junior Resident. In fact, Lohia’s MBBS course is not recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

In this institute MBBS course was started in the year 2017. In the first batch, 150 students were admitted. After passing out when students applied for registration in NMC, then they got to know that the MBBS degree of Lohia Institute has not been recognized by NMC. These students can neither do job nor practice in any hospital without registration. Institute’s media spokesperson Prof. AP Jain told that recognition will be given by next week.
