In past few days, some quick developments has taken place over the implementation of Nation Exit Test. Major things was revealed during the webinar but there were few more questions and doubts that were yet to be answered. Several doubts and questions were being raised on social media platforms.

Recently the government has released a gazette on National Exit Test Regulations 2023 for the NExT exam. This includes guidelines on exam pattern, process of examination, schedule, marking scheme and eligibility.

After the release of the ‘gaztee’ , many MBBS students and doctors opposed the gazette and demanded its withdrawal. They took the matter to twitter and called it a violation of the NMC Act 2019 while some raised serious cons of the regulations and called it ‘horrible’.

On the occasion of Doctors Day ( 1st July ), many MBBS Students held peaceful protest and demanded the withdrawal and clarification over the implementation of NExT.

The students of Madhubani Medical College & Hospital (MMCH, Bihar ) held the protest over NExT on the Doctors Day. A twitter user @Mr.medico_ and MBBS student Aman Parmar from MMCH took to twitter and called 2019, a experimental batch for NMC which was also severely affected by COVID-19. He also called it a “gross violation of the Section 49 of the NMC Act, 2019.”
