What are the eligibility criteria for the NEET UG 2026?

You must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st in that year, with your birthdate on December 31st also being acceptable.

You should have successfully completed class 12 or its equivalent from a board that is either centrally or locally recognized, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the main subjects.

General category candidates need to score a minimum of 50%, while SC/ST/OBC candidates must achieve a minimum of 40%.

Foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and PIOs are eligible to apply.

Yes, you can sit for the NEET exam even if you have taken a one-year break between your 11th and 12th grades.

  • Can I change my language preference after submitting the form?

Once you’ve submitted your language preference, it cannot be changed, as exam centers are assigned based on the chosen question paper medium.

  • I paid online, but my confirmation page hasn’t been generated. What should I do?

If the confirmation page isn’t generated, it could be due to bank server issues. Wait for 24 hours. If the issue persists, consider making the payment again and obtaining a new confirmation page. Excess payment will be refunded automatically. Contact your bank for further assistance if the problem continues.

  • Can I cancel my NEET application once I pay the application fee? Will I get a fee refund?

After paying the NEET application fee, cancellation of the application is not permitted, and the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
